Reviews

“Christy’s presentation of her personal recovery story provides hope and encouragement to those in partial hospitalization who are struggling with severe symptoms and extremely challenging life stressors.  She validates but also gently challenges the feelings of shame so many with mental illness experience while providing guidance on how to build and maintain a recovery lifestyle.  Her message is compassionate and powerful which prompts program participants to discuss their own personal connections to her message.”

Stacey Seislove (Director at Transitions Partial Program)

“You made such an impact at Lanta. Several people talked to me about how you changed the way they think ahout individuals living with mental illness. It could not have been better. NAMI is so lucky to have you speaking for us—you are a powerful force.”

Maggie Murphy (Executive Director, NAMI Lehigh Valley)

“Christy’s sharing her lived experience with our clients and staff has elicited much positive feedback. Group members have found it to be realistic, engaging, educational , inspiring and most importantly a source hope.  Christy’s review of recovery tools and coping skills has been very helpful. Christy’s genuine presentations are a great asset to our program, our clients and staff.  I can’t thank her (or NAMI) enough!”
