Christina Dunbar is a professional speaker, educator, and facilitator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She has presented at state conferences and participated in discussion panels and press releases for mental health legislation with Rep. Mike Schlossberg, Gov. Tom Wolf, and Congresswoman Susan Wild. Dunbar shares her mental health journey weekly at in-patient and out-patient facilities, leads peer support group meetings, teaches wellness classes, trains police officers, and speaks at educational institutions. In 2015, Dunbar was featured in a PBS Close to Home Series on Depression. A veteran English and Theatre teacher, Dunbar is now a writing tutor at Northampton Community College. When she’s not playing taxi service to her daughter, she sings in a band and performs in community theatre.
